We support NHBC registered builders and developers with expert technical advice guidance and support on NHBC Standards, other regulations  and quality issues, not least through our comprehensive inspection services and training programmes.

We engage with industry, the Government and key stakeholders to help shape housing policy and practice. NHBC staff sit on a number of industry and Government committees. We provide a platform for the industry to engage with policy makers.

Technical

We employ field-based inspectors, engineers and surveyors (both field and office-based), to work with our registered builders to assist them in complying with Building Regulations and NHBC Standards. In addition, we employ professionals providing health and safety, training, energy rating, air-leakage and acoustic services to house builders and the wider construction industry. We also employ graduate surveyors and those from a building-related discipline as trainees.

Insurance

We employ field-based staff with an inspection or surveying background to investigate claims ad co-ordinate repairs. Our office-based claims handlers, often from a financial services background, support our homeowners. There are also administrative support roles and customer services roles, the latter providing technical and registration support to NHBC registered builders.

Our head office is in Milton Keynes where many of our opportunites are based. However, almost 53% or our colleagues are based from home and travel to where they need to be.

We also have small regional offices in Edinburgh and Belfast and a satellite office in London.
